Default Nokian WR, 99.9% of your winter driving will be on dry, wet or plowed roads.

Default but does it really matter what it is if its bald?

Default subject to your travels....

I've been using the Falken Zeix 512 which is a UHP All season tires. I get about 30K miles and have yet to have a problem with the past three winters in Tri State (even a limerock day with them)

However if you tend to do a lot of SKI and winter travel. I'd opt for the Nokian WR. Also and All season but the only All season with a severe weather rating and also speed rated. Some say the sidewall is a bit soft, but most who use them love them even year round. Alex had them on the R32 in Hartford and they were like glue in Harfords heavy wet snow. And in the dry on the Merrit, they also were great.

Default Dunlop 3D's....

Had the LM-22's & the M3's. If the 3D's are the replacement of the M3's they have to be amazing.

I got the 3D's for the RS4.

Paul, I've been using the XL (94V) version for the last four years now, sidewall is not too soft.
