Tri-State Commuters.... Has the traffic on your daily commute gotten better or worse....
in the past 3 years?
The more and more I use public transporation, the less people I see on it.
NYC has the best mass transportation system in the country, and yet, we all still use cars? wtf

I am surprised how much space there is on the trains I take on NJT
Although if I took the very early trains I may be singing a different song. I think traffic has remained the same, but I'm sure my parents would disagree since they've been around longer to see the changes.

What train do you take?
If you take a New york bound train they are packed.. however if you end up on a Hoboken bound train they are far less crowded, almost empty sometimes.

it's gotten worse and worse as people move out from the suburbs to more rural areas with less public
transportation. There are plenty of folks who live in PA and drive into NYC every day.

i've been taking the NJ bus into work for 5 years now
i live about 10 miles from the city and my bus is usually pretty full since there's a new development on my route and there's also tourists from the hotel on the route too who hop on to get to the city. the traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel is ALWAYS backed up...except on Jewish holidays. =) When I do drive in, the Holland Tunnel is the way to go. The traffic is not as bad and there are so many alternate ways to get to the HT.
I usually spend my bus rides listening to my mp3 player and looking out the window counting how many bmw's vs audi's I see...it's roughly 2/1 on average.
