Working in Stamford, CT this summer...somes questions
Hey guys,
I'll be working in Stamford this summer. I'll be living in northen westchester county. I'll be going Taconic --> 287 --> 95.
I plan to leave home at 6:30am so hopefully i'll miss the traffic, but how is it leaving around 6-7pm?
Also what is there to do in Stamford?
Hopefully I'll be able to make it to some of the Greenwich meets this summer!
-Peter

I leave Stamford about 6:30-7 every day on my way back to Rockland...
95S to 287. Usually a crap shoot from Sept to June, but summers are generally a breeeze, expecially at that time of day. You'd be surprised how the traffic level drops when schools are out. Should be no problem.
And if there are any days where it is a problem, Merritt is just as easy...zero traffic going south...and much more fun to drive

Im from norther westchester and go to school @ Fairfield U. and keep my boat
in Greenwhich so ive got a few routes to get to and from stamford via different routes. Where in northern westchester are you working and if you don't mind me asking what firm? I'll be with Morgan Stanley this summer in Manhattan for their summer analyst program

you might save time by taking the merrit
then getting off at exit 34 (rt 104) and taking that south into downtown stamford....
although you'll be doing a reverse commute, so you;ll be going against the heavy traffic flows, not with them, so you might be ok..
as far as things to do, there are some nice bars downtown, and there's always Beemers. otherwise, depends on what you're looking to get into...
