Default I sore today, put a new roof on the Garage this weekend

What fun! removing 50 years of crap from my old roof. My lower back & legs are sore from picking up all that crap by hand, and lugging all the supplies up the latter.

While putting up the new roof was easy, pick up just sucks! We has 1600lbs of old shingles. The roof has been leaking, it rotted the wood on the ends.

All in all, not a hard just, just hire some one to due the clean up! Nails were every where, and thank god I took the S4 out of the garage, it was a mess!

Default I really should join.

This was at Plesant Hill Winery in Carnation, WA.

BEWBC has access to some prime vinyards and can get grapes fairly cheap.

Default I was wondering because Rumour has it they got a lot of grapes in yesterday

Do you just use grapes or do you try fermenting other fruits?

Default Just all grapes now. I have not dabbled making other fruit wine.

I do have a really cool wine recipe book from the 1940s. Has everything from apple wine to dandelion wine.

Dandelion wine? WTF. I bet it is really interesting to drink.

Default I have heard only good things about dandelion wine..

I made some banana wine that I didnt quite let finish fermenting, or add any ingredients to stop fermentation, so it became a champagne.. and right now, I am in the process of attempting some rasberry, and peach wine. (Seperate carboys lol) But not sure if they will turn out.. I might have left them in the primary fermentor too long. I have

Default that's on my to-do list....

Fortunately in my case it is just a carport where I keep my beater pickup -- my real garage got a new comp roof along with the house a couple years ago.

The carport has 30 year old cedar shingles with easily 6 inches of leaves and moss and other muck (we are in the woods). I am hoping when I do the demo I can just pull the truck out and hopefully drop all the stuff in the back from the roof ;-)
