I listened to the entire press conference live. I think I know what Bill Cowher said.
You're trying to apply his quote to an entirely different argument. When you say that you've been saying the same thing for 5 weeks, it proves it - there was no 1-3 record 5 weeks ago, so Cowher could not have commented on coming back from a nonexistent deficit until it happened. At the time you started saying it, you were arguing about Super Bowl wins, not 1-3 records. You then morphed the idea into supporting that the Steelers were incapable of coming back from such a deficit. Applying Cowher's quote to that argument is taking it out of context.

I mispoke, I shouldn't have said last 5 weeks... last 3 weeks... you've been implying that the
Steelers will come back, and referencing last year as the reason, as well as "5 super bowl trophys".
