Default 2012 vs 2014 A4 0-60 discrepancy

I've come across an anomaly between the 0 to 60 times reported in literature, between the 2012 and the 2014 Audi A4 Quattro 8-speed, and I am hoping someone can figure this out. As far as I can tell by the available specs 2014 model is basically the same car as the 2012/2013 with the 10 more horsepower, so it seems that in theory the 0-60 times would be very similar. However, I am seeing a consistent difference in acceleration performance being reported, and I am at a complete loss to explain what is accounting for this difference.

In 2012 Car and Driver tested the A4, Quattro 2.0t Tiptronic to 60 in 5.6 Seconds (Here is the short video review (
) . In the same year, Motor Trend tested a similarly equipped A4 to 60, in 5.8 seconds (Motor Trend mentions their old test in this article on the 2017 A4 (2017 Audi A4 Quattro First Test Review ) Here is a video of someone in a 2013 A4 model (same specs as the 2012) doing a 60 run, in which can be timed to be about 5.6 seconds:
). Here is someone in a 2012 which anyone can time to 60, in about 5.6 seconds. (

Now everywhere you look, the 0-60 acceleration for the 2014 Quattro 8-speed is always quoted at around 6.2 - 6.4. I have personally tried, 4 attempts, using the launch control program (with DCS off, in S mode) and have also obtained times consistently around 6.3 seconds.

The difference between 6.3 and 5.6, is significant enough to suggest a notable difference in either the engine/transmission setup, however, by all available data (HP/torque,gear ratios, vehicle weight), these two vehicles appear identical. If anything the 10 HP increase in the 2014 should shave a tick off the 60 time, but odd enough, it seems to be the slower car.

The only thing I could think of, was maybe the transmission mode (Dynamic or S ) were programmed to account for this difference. Can anyone surmise what can explain this difference in performance between the 2012/2013 and 2014 models?
