A4 1.8T - Chip reset after batter unplug?
I am not sure on the answer and couldn't find the answer on a previous post.
I unpluged my car battery the other day and now it doesnt feel the same as it did before. Could that have reset the chip? I dont know what chip I have because I bought it chipped already. Is there any universal way I can see if there are any other modes available?

Yes it does if unplugged any time @ all. Would need to talk to chip maker about other codes??
Unplugging battery is only way to get rid of all remnants of some codes as well. You should do a throttle body adaptation and the chip will take normal time to adapt.

Re: checked the codes on it? might want to figure out what chip you have by popping the hood.
According to the mechanic, they say its a GIAC. I dont have any cables or VAG COM. Is there only one mode for GIAC, for example stock vs chipped? If not, how can I switch between them?
