Default Advice needed to build a HO engine

I have been thinking about building a second high performance engine for my car (88 5ktq) from the ground up and when it's finished, just drop it
in the car. I would like to keep it a 10 valve as I am sure I can find one easily, and the 200 quattro with 20 valve engines have never been imported to Canada. (I have never seen one anyway)

This would include EFI, a bigger more efficient turbo, 3" free flow exhaust and a bigger intercooler, but I am not sure as I never researched this what other things I should consider. What internal upgrades can I do to this engine to get the most out of it, while it's
still street driveable (cam, pistons, bigger valves, intake/exhaust manifold etc.)? How about other external modifications?

Please let me know what you all think.
Thanks for your input,
Zsolt

Default you could scrape couple pounds off the flywheel

ditch the cam and use the money for more boost and fuel.

internally... keep it at 350hp or else you need new rods

Check out Javad's stuff first...

And if you decide to go EFI$$$, read below:

Run an NF/NG head from an 80/90 or 100. You can get a fuel rail and intake manifold from a Eurovan (2.5L 10v EFI motor from VW), and should be able to fit proper injectors for your useage (don't quote me on that, talk to MT-Tec on here about running injectors in the EV rail).

http://www.034efi.com</a

Default Thanks

I know of Javad's car from the quattro list. I do like the sound of the VW EFI though, if it works.

Default Re: Thanks

You wouldn't run the VW efi system as a whole, just the intake manifold and fuel rail stuff, and use it on an NG or late-model NF head.
