Really? I looked into Wilwoods & asked around on AW and heard nothing but complaints...
something about weak brackets and too much flex. There's no denying that the price is good, but what is your objective opinion of them?
I've been evaluating my brake situation, and I'm still unsure as to what I should do. I see these options:
1) Do nothing. Live with miserably undersized & underachieving brakes. (Least expensive)
2) Wait until TDL Racing develops a brake kit to fit under my stock 16" wheels that will feature 12" Coleman rotors and Boxster S calipers, thus allowing me to enjoy better-than-stock braking all year round. (Most practical)
3) Buy a true Big Brake kit which will also require me to source & buy 17" wheels and snow tires. (Most expensive)
4) Buy a true Big Brake kit to use under my 18" Oettingers, but replace it with my stock brakes for winter driving (The biggest pain)
5) Buy upgraded stock-size rotors (a'la APR Level 2) and pads. (The closest thing to throwing money down the toilet?)
6) Buy the Wilwood kit (Inexpensive, but suspect)
You clearly know your stuff when it comes to performance, and if it was your choice...what would you do? FYI, I live in Pittsburgh, and I would rather have a setup that affords me VERY GOOD braking year-round as opposed to EXCELLENT braking in the summer and TERRIBLE braking in the winter.

Yeah Wilwoods suck...
Had many problems with them. Better off to stay stock than waste money, IMO. No flames please...it's just my experience, had several rebuilds in a short period of time and a lot of problems overall.
What do you plan to do with your car? Are you only into street driving or do you plan to do track stuff too?
