Default Anybody done rear brake drum work on a Civic?

I'm tackling my girlfriend's rear brakes on Saturday. I've done dozens of disc brakes, but never a drum setup. It looks pretty straight forward, but my concern is working around the hub. I'd like to get it off if possible.

If any of you have done this, does the hub slide right off once I get the spindle nut loose or will I need a slide hammer?

Default I've changed drum brakes on several cars and the shoes will seperate around the hub. However, I

have never changed them on a civic. It's a good idea to get a kit to replace the springs in there.
