I spent way to much time installing this kit. first I spend a **** load of time making custom brackets so I could mount it horizontaly in a little area located in a little spot right below and in front of the stock location. I was leaking oil from the line fittings that mount where the stock oil filter was. I jacked up the car and tightened the fittings and its still leaking a little!!

I guess I'll just pull the fittings off and make sure I remembered to use teflon tape. I'm like 90% sure I did all the fittings but I cant understand why its leaking. I guess its possible the bracket cracked but I dont think so. it looks like its leaking from both fitting.

what a pain in the *** this simple project is turning into!! I just glad I didnt try and make ss lines!!

any ideas? anything better then teflon tape for this kind of job?

i wysiwyg has installed a filter relocation kit.

I just used teflon tape.
Works like a champ, over 60K miles now and still leak free.

They make a teflon paste, it's easier to apply (and keep in place) than tape
