Default Anyone running the Stassis rear LS diff and center torsen mod??

If so pls give me some feedback. I know the Rear LS should be fine, but I am wondering how much help you got with the center. This will be on a 40+ car only going to 3000lbs. I can get the viscous setup, but it has limitations too and costs $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Did you see significant 60ft improvements. I do more track stuff than drag too, did improvements seem significant. Thanks for any BTDT

Default LS

LS is amazing, it makes the car feel like it's running on rails, no matter what you try and make it do. The big thing is learning to trust it. You can dive into a corner and stay on it, and drive right through.

I've got LS front and rear, which is about as much traction as you're going to get. For straight line it doesn't do much, except when there's no traction, then it makes sure you put it all on the ground.

I also have no centre diff, it's always locked. So I guess the bad part is you forget about trying to do things like parallel park.

But, in terms of traction, you just can't put it into words.

Default Drive an old 1st gen quattro with the center and rear locked up...Unless you REALLY slip the clutch

and keep the engine rev'd up, you will stall in short order. Also, the car really doesn't want to turn at low speeds, push the clutch in and you stop w/in a couple feet. Chews up tires pretty quick too. BTDT with the 5kq ;-)

Lockers/LSDs are pretty darn nice at higher rates of speed in the twisties though (and on snow/ice). This will be my first winter in ~7 years driving the 5kq. Should be fun! Need to get that camera mount machined...
