B6 1.8Ts have a dual outlet setup, does that mean that if i put together a single outlet system

Yes it might be larger then a full 3", but since it is smaller before the dual section
there is no real gain by having those dual 1.75" pipes. To get a gain from them you would have to make sure that the pipe before the dual section was of equal size.

a 3" tube is almost 50% bigger than dual 1.75" tubes....
Area = pi * radius^2
1.75" -> 2 x 0.875^2 x pi => 4.81 square inches
3" -> 1 x 1.5^2 x pi => 7.07 square inches
In fact, a single 2.5" pipe is about the same as dual 1.75" pipes.

thanks, btw, how important is that resonator in the middle of the system?
i'm thinking about removing it on the stock system? because its something cheap to do?
