Bad things happening. NEED HELP.
Gentlepersons,
Perhaps you can help me with a problem that just started. As of about three weeks ago my A4 started having problems starting. The symptom is very strange. The car will run just fine until I turn it off. If the car sits for more than about 20 minutes, it just refuses to start. I noticed that the EPC light just doesn't come on. If I switch the car on and off enough the EPC light will eventually come on and then the car starts. Once in awhile the car will start run for a couple of minutes then just die. Again, the EPC light just will not come on until I switch the car on and off about a dozen times. It's very strange, once the car in running it stays running.
Here is what I've done to this car.
APR Stage II ( Chip & Exhaust )
Conical air filter
That's it.
If you have heard of this or just have an insight into what it might be I would greatly appreciate your input. I am taking the car in to my Audi dealer. I'm just nervous about them not covering whatever this problem is.

What I suspect
There is possibility that one side of the reader for the key is not functioning. Flip the key on the other side and try to start. Some time you have to do this several time before you can start the car.
It is not a major problem the dealer just need to change a sensor (or sensor for the immobilizer).
I cost me $25 in my country. - I had the same problem for my previous A4 1997.
