Default Bailey vs TurboXS? For a K04 1.8T, which is better?

I have the Neuspeed K04 upgrade for my 99.5 1.8TQM and want to upgrade the BPV. Which is a better match for my situation?

Thanks!
Greg

Default Tell us how you really feel Emil...BTW - I ordered big brakes...heck that's a club meet all by

itself :-) I purchased the Turbo5 Level III kit it's a Porsche 996 Monoblock 4 Piston Caliper mated to an OEM Audi S4 rotor...looks pretty promising.

Default TurboXS is adjustable...Bailey is not...TurboXS looks rebuildable (does come apart) Bailey does not

but...the Bailey does fit in a more stock fashion...I have one on my car and have no doubts that it's totally sufficient. I doubt your K04 setup is going to tax either one of those valves...

James R.

that they're linear springs...non progressive...they're only something like 270 lbs/inch which is softer than stock according to Anthony at Greedspeed. I called AMS today and they shot those springs down bigtime...so I hope Santa...that they got me the rear sway bar instead of the springs. In the mean while I bought myself a set of Turbo5 Stage III brakes...ohh yeah baby Porsche 996 + S4 rotors...should be pretty sweet for a serious street and semi-serious track setup, who knows maybe they're up to the full track test, Clark has had pretty good luck with em'.

Default Hey James... I've been thinking about big brakes but can't afford them yet...

since I've been splurging on other things. I bought a full exhaust last week (hi-flow cat, mid and rear muffler) and I'm anxiously awaiting its delivery (tomorrow hopefully, it's been sitting at LAX since Sunday waiting to clear customs). I'm also waiting for my GT25 turbocharger that I ordered a while back. It should arrive next month or at least I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

How do you like your AVS'?

We should get together with Frank and the rest of the gang for a drive or a luncheon or something.

Pimp..that sounds like a really complete exhaust system...replaces the CAT...not just the downpipe?

What's up with the GT25 how do you plan to get it onto the car? Who will program for you? Or did you order a kit? Who makes it...?

Yeah we should get together...Jason is going to be in Europe for a while...I think he's going to be back sometime after the new year...we should try to do an improptu meeting, I hope to have my brakes thrown on ASAP, I'm planning on letting AMS do it...I figure if they have a racing team they should be able to do a brake system purge...I'd do it myself but I don't have the power bleeder and don't particularly feel like buying one if you know what I mean...besides they're only $60 per hour and they said something like 2 hours at the most.

James R.
