Default Mr Matt. Ive heard that the laser / IR temp finders on smooth melalic surfaces like rotors

show lower than actual temperature, becuase of its reflective surface.

In addition you do not have the Peak temp, since you have to get out of the car, and slow down to read the temp, having the rotors cool with time.

The paint permanatly changes color once it reaces differnt temps. Like a Peak Hold

Default How about across the surface of a tire?

Inside, middle and outside for dialing in pressures during track days.

Default It would be ideal for tire use.

We have twin IR tire temp monitor on the suspension assymbly to read inside and outside tread temps on the Formula SAE car
