Cat back for 1998 A4 2.8 Quattro
Does anybody out there know of a good cat back sytstem for a 98 a4 2.8? The only one I've seen around is from Greddy. Everything else is for a A4 1.8t. Thanks for your help!

I'd heavily recommend checking out the Milltek - its brand spanking new...
...and Stratmosphere should have their first shipment (and pricing) within a week or two.
Based on the currently available 3" S4 systems, I think its safe to assume that the 2.8 pricing should be less than SuperSprint ($1100).

Do not forget to check with Brullen; they also make complete systems . . .
for the 12v 2.8; I would assume that the 30v 2.8 would at most require a different connector to the exhaust manifold as the rest of the exhaust system has absolutely identical dimensions.
OEM, we have about 24 "water-inches" of back pressure in our exhaust system. On a 200 hp V6 like our 2.8's, we should have about a 14 w-i of back pressure. The cats constitute the biggest single culprit for excess back pressure, followed not too closely by the mufflers. Thus, getting a complete, exhaust manifold back exhaust with high flow cats and high flow mufflers will get you the best bang for the buck. Whats an extra 50% in cost for double the performance gain? Cat-back does not make financial sense.
