clicking noises

I drive a 97' A4 and when i shift to second and press on the gas and let go, my car lets out about three clicking noises. At first i thought the noise is coming from my front wheels, but when i stuck my head out the window it sounded like it is coming from the back somewhere. i found out a way to make the same noise without driving the car, and that is by making my car bounce slightly by jumping up and down on the door ledge. I came to the conclusion that it is either coming from the rear disc brake back cover (or whatever the hell that thing is that sits behind the rear disk brakes), or my springs and shocks. Does anybody have the same problem and would like to share the info? Or any suggestions on what it could be? Thanx i appreciate all the help
