gt30 installed on 1.8t.....
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/16886/photo_009.jpg"></center><p>A while back I posted a comment in a thread about t3/t4's on 1.8t's saying that I was installing a gt30 on my gti. I got about 5 emails asking for more info and one email tellimg me I was wasting my times cause the turbo is too big and wouldnt spool....=/
Car is running awsome...here are some pictures
oh and btw to the guy the emailed me saying the turbo would never spool before 5000 rpms....I get 13-14 psi by 3500 and will have 20+ by 4000 when its fully tuned.

Awesome install!
Definately keep us updated on this project. It is good to see people trying thinks opposed to the norm. It's always nice to have another option on the horizon. Also, what kind of potential does a GT30 have?

What rail pressure are you running at?
With that GT30 you should be looking to run 550cc, even the stage 3 and T28 kits run on 440cc with a 4 bar FPR. There is a GTI on the European Car mag website for the 1.8t challenge that is running a GT30 with 820cc injectors.
