Default explain what you think to be the significance of having one type over the other.

i personally dont think that it matters as most cars can run without a straightener at all though the maf will read lower numbers in some samples. i dont believe that a different type of straightener would cause the car to read higher maf readings than there was actual air.

i have done alot of research on the greentops myself. countless hours of logging when my car had the exact same symptoms as his car does. which is why i believe that they are the problem. the min pulse rate of these injectors is 1.7 ms ontime while 1.8t's idle at 1.64ms this is what causes the rough idle and misfires. not to mention the dead spots in the powerband. these injectors were made to go in an engine with a greater amount of load (base and increasing) then the 1.8L we have (the 4.6L supercharged ford lightning)

Default I think it will idle and heres my reasons

I did have it idling before I had the plumb back of the bypass valve which means now that its running leaner it wont Idle. Also vag-com shows a slightly lean idle. I will try the vr6 maf an report back, I'm hoping you are not right, If you are I will have to either try different programming or not do the bypass valve plumbback. Thanks for the info!

BTW What injectors would work in the 440's place, or what did you do to get around this problem. Thanks

Default Atp, and I have no clue on hp as its still in construction

Right now I'm only running 12psi and it hauls compared to my old k04, and its dead even with my roomates wrx with utec, upipe, downpipe, full 3" back, and 17psi, so whatever thats good for I dont know.

One guy on here made around 290whp on atp programming, with an a/f around 10:1

Default Re: To each his own....I love the green tops and have worked perfect for me...

Getting the right velocity thru the MAF to get correct reading at idle can be frustrating but I as well as many have got the 440's to work perfect. Good luck.

Default i swapped mine out for siemens injectors. log the injector duty cycle and email to me i will save

you the run around as i know what it should look like. no need to chase your tail if its right there to grab ya know?

krautburner has some for his 3071R setup that he got for a good deal. i think his are 580's or something like that at 4 bar but an adjustable FPR will help you dial in with those. i couldnt be happier with my siemens injectors they are ten fold better than the greentops could ever dream of being. though i have the 380's which i suppose you could also use at an FPR higher then 4 bar. they idle perfectly, i have a DBW and they dont hiccup when i turn the air on or when my smog pump comes on (you dont have to worry about this) which even the bosch injectors in the APR stg3 do.... (at least in the cars i have been in)
