ko4 kits
im just going through every choice i have. whats the best ko4 kit out? about what is max power out of a k04 kit? i was thinking about awe's kit and adding a ported manifold and front mount intercooler. and hopping to be aver 250 hp. hows the nuespeed kit? am able to get a real good deal from nuespeed but im thinking i might aswell go for awe's kit. i have a 2001 1.8t

AWE is having a group buy that ends tonight...

With the 2001 I don't think the k04 is going to give you much more
than the x-chip for k03. The Nuespeed/Kinetic kit however is very promising at 250 to 260 HP due to a bored out k04. It's not out yet. EuroTuner had a golf with that kit this month. Rumor is around $1800-$2000 including injectors,programming,hardware, etc! This kit may bridge the gap between stageII and stageIII for the 1.8t

250hp?
Right now only if you own a 2000 and go for the J31 chip. Other wise look to make around 230-235 hp max.
J31 runs 28ps to make 250+ hp while most other K04 chips run maybe 20psi max. Best thing to do is call up AWE and ask them what the 2001 K04 kit makes for power.
