Hey guys so I have a 2005 A4, 3.0L. The car has been awesome to me, just basic maintenance stuff which I am grateful of since it does have high kms. Lately here in Canada it has been around -40 degrees celsius with the wind chill and my car has been making a loud whining sound when de accelerating. I park it in a heated underground parking lot and when I start it, everything is all good. After about 20 minutes or so of driving it starts making this deep whining sound which I am guessing is the power steering? But then I just checked the power steering fluid and it is good, but has some fluid that looks like it leaked out the top of the reservoir. Keep in mind my car has not been making this sound at all when its normal cold like -10 or -15 celsius. But the past couple days have been brutal and this is when it has started. Could this be a frozen hose or something? Trying to figure out what this could be....
