MAJOR EXHUST HELP
hey guys, I'm am new to this forum sorry if i ask stupid question...
i was going to install AWE track edition exhaust.... my QUESTION is- will the full cat back exhaust hurt my engine? will it trick the ECU or something for the amount of air to throwing out?
i have talk to several people they told me my engine won't last as long... or my check engine light will always be on. and how the ecu will be folled and its dodnt know how much air to throw out etc etc..
they told me to go with MID PIPES instead of FULL CAT BACK....
want to do this to a.... 2010 audi a5 3.2 L....
any help would be appericiated, thanks you so much in advance

I'm not aware of any ECUs that measure exhaust gas flow or exhaust back pressure.
I am not a professional, trained Audi mechanic, however I can't imagine an exhaust system causing an issue, as long as the cats are in place, functioning properly and the sensors plugged in.
In my 40 years of tinkering with and hot rodding engines, I've never experienced a degradation in longevity associated with a free flowing exhaust system.
Maybe some pros can chime in, but I think the information you are being given cannot be substantiated.
