Need help understanding alignment specs
I recently had my car aligned, and the printout shows measurements in degrees, while the Bently cd shows measurements in what appears to be feet.
For example, on my 2000 A4 Sport, Bently shows the Camber should be -40' +/- 25' while the printout (which does properly show the 1BE for sport)shows -1.3 deg as min and -0.4 deg as max.
So, how to I convert from one to the other to make sure the Camber, and all other measurements are correct? Thanks.

Is there 2 types of allignment? The type u can get at discount tires and generic shops, and the other type are the ones you should get because it gives you better handling? I was told this, but I am not sure if its true

sometimes people confuse wheel balance with alignment
You sometimes hear alignments referred to as wheel alignments (it's really a suspension alignment, but if affects your wheel position).
Tire shops will balance your tire on your wheel. Some will also do alignments of your suspension.
Dealers and many "regular" shops will usually do an alignment where they'll adjust your suspension so that it's back in factory specs, which generally emphasize longer tire life rather than performance.
"Performance" or "Tuner" shops will sometimes do alignments where they try to maximize the car's adjustments to suit the type of driving you do (road racing, autocross, etc.). These alignments are generally detrimental to tire life.
Hope this helps.
