Need urgent help with 1.8tqm (LONG)
Ok lately ive noticed that my a4 has this problem sometimes when i start the car it feels like its missfiring in one of the cylinders, and or one of the cylinders is disconected and the car is ideling on 3 cylinders, or if its like one of the injuctors have been unpluged. Which would cause the car to idel on 3 cylinders, you give the car a rev and it will rev up like normal and then it will go back to the same thing. Once you start driving the car will become normal and maybe some were down the road it will do the same thing, which will cause it to be low on power. I have replced the spark plugs about 12mnts ago with platinum and reciently changed oil and oil filter, aswell as flushed the intercooler system from all oil build up.Could it be one of the coil packs dying out? I have checked the car with VAGCOM and there are no errors, im running out of ideas Oh yea its a 96 model equal to 97US spec
Thanks guys

Really. At least punctuate, and make complete sentences.
I'm not fantastic at spelling when I type quick, but if you want help, people want to be able to easily read what you are saying.

Yes it can be a coil pack, but you need to remove those
platnuim plugs and replace them with some cooper plugs. You need to use a vag to see if there is a misfire on one of the cylinders, if there is you need to move the coil pack and see if the misfire also moves.

Hey Stasik
First and foremost change you plugs, never use platinum plugs with ANY turbo car. I have been through all the trials and tribulations with plugs believe me and those plugs may or may not be causing your problem but they shouldn't be in there anyway. I use Beru Ultra UXF-56 plugs (get mine from south yarra auto parts) and Im running 1.3+ bar boost with no pinging, misfires or other associated problems.
By the way I live in Melbourne too and I see you around from time to time
