RS6 Tranny parts in an A4 TIp
I was very surprised to see that the RS6 comes with a tip
what im wondering is if the torque converter from an Rs6 match up with the A4 tip (B5 chassis)
also if the tranny is upgraded, would apr sell me the stage 3 or 3+?

weird....because my car wasn't making much more tq than an xchip on the same dyno and same day
I think I was making about 10-15 more ft lbs than the xchip car. I was making about 50 more hp than that car though. But I thought it was tq that was dangerous to the tip not the hp.

The X chip does not produce 300 lbs of tq where the T28 and stage 3 will
the K04 kits also will produce less then 300 tq unless they run the 27psi J31 chip. The tq is the tranny killer and the big turbos seem to make the same amount of tq as they do hp since the turbo does not spool up as fast as the smaller turbo.

I meant that my car is a bit low on tq compared to other
stage 3 cars...and what is advertised. Weird thing is hp was right on...so if I make up that tq, I think the hp will be even higher.

maybe, but seems like the chipped A4's were getting about advertised
I was a little low, and I know Digital's T28 was about what PES advertises 215 wtq or about 275 crank tq.
I have a feeling my boost drop from 20 psi to 16-17 psi after 4500 RPM is why my tq is low. Hopefully a profec B will be the answer.

215 is a little low for the PES
all of the ones I saw would put down 220-225 tq at the wheels and that also was on the same type of mustang dyno as AWE has. I also think the Xchip and K04 chipped cars were a little low on tq at that dyno day at AWE.

well..I'm curious to see if holding consistent 20 psi of boost will help
with tq. I have to run logs and figure out why the requested boost dips. Maybe it's an intake temp thing. I am just about to break down and order that Greddy FMIC and throw that on when I do the timing belt next weekend. We'll see.
