Default SpeedVision Announcement today.

This was on SpeedVision's website today.....

Available in 45m homes, NASCAR TV on SPEED Channel will provide NASCAR fans with an unprecedented, dedicated block of NASCAR-related programming. NASCAR TV will augment the hundreds of hours of NASCAR Winston Cup and NASCAR Busch Series racing and related programs already slated for telecast on FOX, FX, Fox Sports Net and NBC/TNT. Come February, NASCAR TV will air between 3:00 p.m. and Midnight ET on weekday afternoons and evenings.

"It's fair to say that from this point forward, that due to its amazing popularity, NASCAR programming will drive the SPEED Channel," said SPEED Channel president Jim Liberatore.

Default Sneak peek...sample from the ALL-NASCAR channel

If they don't continue to cover the WRC, I guess it's goodbye SpeedVision. NASCAR is the biggest waste of time.

Who gives a flying rip about cars making left-hand turns on asphalt? Does it take 45 hours per week to watch Jeff Gordon turn left, Rusty Wallace turn left,...? How much "analysis" is really warranted? I can imagine how that will go...

Bob Varsha : "Here's Robby Gordon turning left on lap 166."
Darrell Waltrip : "True, but his car was about 3 inches farther down than the other guys in that left-hander. The crew really had it dialed in. Let's listen in on Robby's convsation in the car with his pit crew."
Robby Gordon : "Guys, great work. I took that left-hand turn about 3 inches lower than the other guys. You've really got the car dialed in. If we can maintain this for the next 5000 left-handers, we're golden!! Yeeee-haaawwww!!!

Just a sample, folks...there's 44 hours 30 seconds more to go. While they're changing to all NASCAR, why don't they change the channel name too? I suggest LoserVision.

Boy, I hope my feelings about NASCAR aren't too obvious.

This is pathetic.

Regards,
Joel
