well, just had my first out-of-warranty repair.....
grand total for parts was $2.27
so that adds a dip stick retaining sleave to a very short list of broken/replaced parts over teh last 3 years.
including bpv, control arms, a random relay for the starter motor, battery! oh and my arm rest, i broke the top of my arm rest so I pulled the whole thing out!
I've had my 1998 a4 1.8tqm for three years and it now has 71k on the clock. I've put around 50k on the car over three years and loved all of them. I've gone through 2 sets of kuhmo 712, 3 sets of avs sports (3rd set brand new), 4 sets of victorracer tires. about 10 sets of front brake pads and 5 sets of rotors.
this car kicks major ***! for all those who've been thinking about buying an a4 go for it!! I know many people who beat the hell out of a4s without having any problems.
I got the car from the exchange in highland park. They always had time to help me and come up with a way to fix my problem. I'm not a very demanding customer but I really think these guys work hard to make their customers happy. if my next car is an audi/porsche it will come from the exchange for sure!!!
I see lots of people bitching about broken cars on audiworld so here is a bitch free post!!!
if something fails then I'll get to learn how to fix it!!! parts arnt really that expensive if you know where to look!
now why did I post this in here? ops!!
