I remember you (i think) installing a Walbro 255lph "high pressure" fuel pump out of a fox body stang. Do you have the specific part number you used? Any more info on where to get one? Thanks!

Should I do this???
I bookmarked that write-up a while ago. I have since made ~325hp on the dyno and installed a 3" exhaust and some other minor mods recently. I also have a tank of race gas waiting to try my 100 octane chip. I read that my pump is good for 360hp - which I will never hit unless I do a 2.0 conversion.
My O2 readings are ok, but my injectors are maxed. I am wondering if my fuel pressure is dropping a bit in the upper RPMS and that I may benefit from a larger pump. I am thinking that I will not know for sure unless I put a fuel pressure guage on my fuel rail and look at it in the upper Rs.
But then again - for $150 - why not just get the larger pump and know it will never be a problem...
Are there any down sides to such a large pump? Should I consider a used S4 pump? TIA...

You really need a fuel pressure gauge to be sure....
there really is no downside though, other than the fact that it's not exactly a plug-n-play mod.
The reason I like the Walbro pump over the A4 or S4 pump is because I KNOW what it can flow. No guessing games, and no taking chances.

251.7HP. According to Todd, with their dyno you should *1.28 (~22% loss)

I went to AWE the day after I pulled an all nighter putting the kit in. I still had old plugs in there with a stock heat range + a few other problems. This was with my Borla exhaust and a OEM CAT that was hallowed out.
I apparently pinged a bit up top and according to my vag logs it was pulling back timimg as you can see from the plot in the upper Rs.
I have no idea what I will get now that I fixed a bunch of stuff. It will most likely go down some, it could even go up a bit - but prolly not much if any... dunno.

Re: Nice write-up, John!
Gotta agree John, I used your writeup as a guide and also dropped in a 255 walbro. I had one in my eclipse yrs ago and made a loud whining sound, but it's barely noticeable on the A4. I'm thinkin about trying ATP's 475cc injectors.. you think it'll work alright w/ a T28 program?

You'd need the T28 program configured for the larger injectors...
IMHO, the 475cc injectors just aren't worth it for the money.
I've been told Subaru WRX Sti injectors would fit, and I think they are ~550cc. The only drawback is they require a different style connector. PE 650cc injectors can be had for ~$550
440 injectors will support 300hp easy, and can be had much cheaper. I have to upgrade real soon, so I might have a set of 440s for sale soon....
