Default 2015-16 SQ5 Reliability/known trouble aftermarket Warranty ?s

Hey Guys I'm considering purchasing an SQ5. I have owned German cars before and currently own a 997 as a weekend car and I realize that german cars may not have the Toyota reliability but in my experience they have been pretty good. My DD for the last 36 most has been a Jeep JK. The lease is about up and I don't want it anymore. So I have driven a few other SUV but I really like the SQ5. It hits the spot for me. My question is for you that have owned one for extended amount of time and and logged higher miles is how has the reliability have been? Should I look into purchasing an aftermarket warranty. I am currently looking at one and they are saying at the dealer I should get it even though the car has excellent history and is a one owner. This is an Indy not an Audi dealer. Consumer reports says Q5 are good and that most of the time warrantees are a waste of money but wanted to hear from other owners. What are your thoughts and should I spend an extra couple of thousand for additional coverage? Thanks in advance for the advice guys.

If it still has some fac warr left then yes, before it runs out get an aftermarket warranty. Not so much because they have a poor reliability but because it only takes once or twice needing it to pay for itself. It will also give you piece of mind

Thanks Buddy. I feel better about adding it then. It has no factory warranty only 90 day dealer warranty and it is capped and also limited to $ amount

Then an ext warr will cost a whole lot more with no fac warr left.
