Default Audi 'smart' revs?

My Q5 seems to idle around 750-800 RPM. Last night I decided to have some fun and had about a 20 minute aggressive driving style on the highway. When I got to a light off the highway, the brakes were super touchy, the vehicle moving forward with barely any movement of the brake. Then I noticed that the revs were staying around 1300 at idle. After I parked the car to run an errand, the car was idling at the reg 750-800.

Does the vehicle have an intelligent rev system that kicks on when it thinks power will be needed? If so can someone link me to a page explaining this system? Thanks.

Maybe revving harder to match the cooling power requirements from the fans after your enthusiastic drive?
