Default Humidity/foggy windshield

Question; I've noticed over the past few weeks (never noticed this before except on certain days here and there) that every day, especially in the evening, the inside of my windshield is very foggy. This happens when the car hasn't been driven that day. It happens on both rainy and dry days, warm or cold.

Today for example, it was very dry (thought it rained a lot 2 days ago) and the high was 35 with a low of 30. By the late afternoon the inside of the windshield was foggy.

I put a hygrometer in yesterday and it's reading 61% humidity,

Is this normal and I've just never noticed it before (or even if it never happened before it's still ok that it's happening now), or is there possibly some moisture issues in my car (i.e. rain is getting in somewhere and I'm not noticing it)?

Car is otherwise acting fine, no smells, etc...

You may have water leaking into the cabin area.

I'd say FOR SURE there is water (coolant, A/C condensate, rain leak, many things) getting into your car. If it is only on the front windshield, that could mean the water is in the front of the car, or just that there's a big temperature differential between the front and back of the car. Once mildew starts, it can become a nightmare requiring new upholstery, new carpets, duct cleaning...very much something you want to give immediate attention to.

lots of pine needles certain times of year. i'm always picking them out of the windshield/hood area. could be that some have worked their way down to where i can't see them.

Yes Pine needles are bad.Can block a drainage system in no time.Hopefully your dealer will figure this out and it won't cost you $$

Also with the instructions I posted in the linked thread below. It is very easy to check this for yourself.
