Default Leaky 3.2 engine

Hi,

For a few months I have my engine that leaks some coolant fluid. Not much but enough for me to add some replacement coolant every two weeks to keep it a the minimum level.

I changed the thermostat becaus I tought it was leaking from there but it looks like it is leaking from the part circled in red (see picture).

Is there a procedure that exists to change it? What is that part (number?) I can't find it anywhere.

Thank you for your help!

Martin

It’s described as a water inlet tube or maybe outlet tube. It’s been superseded so maybe it was improved.

It’s only like $30-40.

Great!

Thanks for the info. However I hope I can replace it without removing the front of the car!

There is not a lot of space between the engine and the radiator!

Cheers

Does anyone has access to a procedure for replacing this water inlet tube?

Do I have to remove the radiator to get access?

Thank you for your help

Martin having done many "remove the front of the car" repairs, it's nowhere near as bad as it's often made out to be.1/2 hr once you've done it a few times.Once you've yanked the nose it gives you clear access to the front of the engine.Rad and condenser "hinge" off to the side without having to drain fluid or remove gas. It's a good system.
