I often think the cars are overpriced but they are so solidly built. I am thoroughly impressed. Had it been my Toyota demonstrator from work, the bumper would have been on the ground and the trunk might not open. Nothing was out of alignment on the Audi.
Well, fortunately/unfortunately, all modern cars are designed to fail at the extremes, to absorb the energy of an impact. So, fortunately, we can walk away from accidents that would have killed someone in a '60s era car. Unfortunately, it means that even a small impact can cause significant trauma to the car.

Its mostly labour that is the expensive part. If you look at my thread, the car was written off due to it being too much to fix (at least $32k for them to fix). In total, by the time I'm done, it will only cost me $12k to fix it.

I agree with looking around at the shops - if you can, look at a few of the cars that they have finished already to see their quality of work/paint.

I have used, and my family has used Anaheim Hills Auto Body before. They do very good work, and I have been happy with the results.

My Audi has never needed work, but they did a great repair on my Infinity (rear ended), and have repaired my mom's Lexus and Mercedes.

I appreciate everyones feedback and advice. I ended up going with DC Auto Craft in Burbank CA. They are Audi Certified. Don't know the extent of the damage yet.
