Default New Suspension

I have a 2012 Q5 3.2L S-Line with 81,000 miles. I recently have noticed a rough ride and took it to my mechanic friend and he said the Shocks were pretty worn and ready to be replaced. I was shopping around and found the BILSTEIN B4 to be a reasonable direct replacement. Is this a good option for the car? I have standard suspension so Im hoping to have the original ride back.

Also is it normal to need new shocks at 81k? I don't drive the car hard, but it is my everyday driver.

Regards,

Neal

Time to pull the trigger and upgrade that suspension! I have been seriously looking into the bilstein B12 kit which is the b8 shocks with eibach Pro kit springs. Drop is minimal at just over an inch and the ride quality stays relatively the same from what I've read. Others have tried with H&r springs with a bigger drop, still good ride quality. Do eeeeetttt!

depending on road quality and driving style. 81k seems like early for me.
