Default Q5 = NCF?

Picked up my Q5 this evening, drove it home and now I can’t sleep. It’s 1:50am! I am usually fast asleep by now. Do I have new car fever? What is the prescription for this ailment?

Had to keep checking my speed on the way home. I was over 80 whenever I looked at the speedometer. Like my no w retired BWW, it is too easy to go fast in the Q5 and not even realize it.

Will take some pix tomorrow.

You are fine as long as you didn't sleep in it after reading the owners manual from cover to cover in the drivers seat !

Oh, you did ???

Sorry, it's terminal !

Congrats ! Welcome to the Q club !

Dont worry, that feeling eases off a bit in five or six years.

I feel for you.
When my Q was delivered to me from SC the delivery guy had no paperwork with him whatsoever. No title. No bill of sale. Nothing! All that stuff was in a FedEx envelope 400 miles away at the dealer. It was Friday & I had to wait for FedEx on Monday to bring me the title. That was brutally tough.
Anyway, not to worry...your condition is normal and the symptoms will wear off in a few years. Have fun!

Agreed. I slept like a baby last night. Driving it and getting totally comfortable with the MMI is the only solution. I now have a great use for my old 3G iphone. It sits in my glove box connected to the MMI loaded with all my music! Sweet!

When I was at the dealership I recall a demonstration of how to "turn off" the folding external mirrors via the MMI, but I can't remember what menu it was under or how to find it again. Any reminders?

Great looking car, and grats!

When I first got mine, I put close to 800 miles on it the first 3 days. I drove it off the lot (Friday), and just kept driving. I stopped pretty much only for sleep, food, and bathroom breaks.

Enjoy it!
