Audi's high "beltline" and dark tint windows mean I give my wife about a month before she backs into something and damages the fragile painted bumper cover or integral light strip!

What about this?

Not sure. Perhaps an email to them could provide the answer.

I had already sent an e-mail to Kufate USA, and I am awaiting their reply. I will post the info if and when they reply to my request.

As a side note, I stopped by my local Audi dealer and picked up the Audi Q5 Accessories catalog. On page 12, it shows an Acoustic parking system. It indicates it helps with backing manuvers. The dealer representive said it would be a dealer add-on and they did not know how much it would cost or when it would be available. Not real helpful

The rear parking system retrofit that we have is only compatible

Default Audi makes Q5 Backup System w/o Nav, but only available overseas

Yeah, it's a shame, especially when Audi UK offers a Parking System Plus for the Q5, without buying Nav you don't want, which includes a visual graphic showing distance to obstacles, for a reasonable price.

Audi Navigation is not a $2500 option. The MMI with Nav. is $3000, but that includes MMI (which you don't get otherwise) Navigation, rear view camera and parking sensors. Definitely worth it to me. How much would parking sensors with back up camera be otherwise?

Default Headlight Washers

One of my biggest gripes about Q5s bound for the US is that headlight washers are currently available only on the S-line version. This feature should be standard across the board in the US because it pertains to safety, particularly in winter driving scenarios.

Hopefully this is one of the changes made for MY2010.

Hate to tell you but that was not announced as part of the changes.
