Yeh, that is what I am finding. I spent several hours yesterday searching Google and the various forums without much luck. I even tried to find a replacement MC. Rock Auto only had a Cardone, which does not have a good reputation. None of my local parts stores have anything for it either. Do you know if the MC is unique to the Q5, or possibly the same one as the A/S 4 & 5?

Thanks again. I do appreciate it...

Default Part numbers

You can start from here: http://www.partscats.com/audi/en/?i=cat_vag_models Look up your own vehicle and find the master cylinder. Q5's are under AQ5. If that one is awkward to use, then jimellisaudiparts.com has parts listings that include part #'s; many of the other dealer sites omit the numbers.

Then flip over to the A4 and A5 listings and look for same #. Or, use the part # you pull for yours and then search on it via Google to see what hits you get. And/or go on a discount web dealer site like AudiUSAParts and price it there (usually cheaper than jim ellis).
