There is a TSB on this issue, but my dealer said that it does not pertain to the 2014 models.

I have a 2013 3/0T. I have a 5000 mil service scheduled tomorrow so chatted with Audi on their website to find out the TSB number. Gave them my VIN and told them what it is about, this is what they came back with:

I did not locate any TSB for your Q5. Please mention the TSB to your service advisor at your 5k service.

Interesting

There is a HUGE difference between a "recall", a "bulletin" and a "campaign". I guarantee you there is not a "recall" on your vehicle. It is most likely a campaign which is a simple adjustment to either make things run more smoothly or replace a part that may fail prematurely. Actual "Recalls" are very rare as they require immediate attention due to a safety risk to the people in the vehicle. Campaigns and bulletins are very common and sometimes the dealer doesn't even tell you about them because they are of such minor importance and can be fixed quickly. It sounds like this campaign does require some time to remedy so the client will be notified of it so they know why their vehicle is still in the shop. This has been "Jake's terminology lesson" for the day

It DOES pertain to 2014 3.0s as well and, as Jake said, it is a "campaign". I have now confirmed with Audi USA and my dealer. My dealer said is not urgent and I'm being scheduled for the end of the month on my SQ5.

Do you mean 3.0TDI's? TFSI would be petrol (gas)...

It may be that my SQ5 was produced a little later and they made the part change in the factory. I bought a Porsche 991 in 2012 and many cars produced a few months earlier had campaigns that my car did not. It is interesting.

He knows and that's what he means. 3.0T might make people think it's not for the SQ5, so he's being more specific on the engine.

At the dealer right now for the 5000 service. They know about this campain but checked my VIN and this doesn't apply to my car at least at the moment.

It is not a recall, per we, but a campaign. My 2014 SQ5 VIN came back as positive for campaign correction of a manifold valve.
