Wheel spacers

Yes, self installed
I use H&R DR's. Also used DRA's, though in the 20mm's I use in the D3 on the rear, the DRA's had some fit issues so I went to the DR's. Have to use DR's for anything less than 20mm's in H&R. Easy to install as long as you have a floor jack and basic tools to remove wheels. Car has always steered true, no goofy alignment issues, no tire wear weirdness, and no obvious suspension or wheel bearing wear issues (sometimes mentioned concerns w spacers) beyond what everyone else sees for the same D3 model generally. Conversely it does push wheels out some, which arguably might increase stability marginally, but that's a nuance and usually not advanced as a big selling point. If done differentially front to back as far as spacer sizing, it could also change typical understeer dynamic some, but that's also beyond this post level.
Net, a very nice tweak that makes vehicle look more muscular and buttoned down if you hit the right sizing; finding other exemplars of Q5's helps. For everyday common spacer sizing, maybe only caution would be realize as you push the wheel outward, on a vehicle like a Q5 with big wheel gapping and wheel wells that taper inward a fair amount down low on the body behind the wheels, more road crap is going to spray onto the car side in inclement weather at the margin. If you happen to use snows, you might elect to pull them in winter if you use the spacers toward the larger ends of the debatable ranges.

17 mm, if you scroll down in this thread you will find a link to the exact spacers I got.
How do you post pics here? I have them local not on the Internet.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about spacer sizes.
In general, depending on your wheel offset, 8mm-10mm and larger is usually when you start to notice a significant difference in the stance of the vehicle.
Below that it's hard to tell and usually spacers below the above sizes are for clearance between brake calipers and suspension components.

I have a 2014 SQ5 wanted the more aggressive stance, Measured like i saw on sites and I want the flush look and not have road spray all over the side of the car. Was thinking 12.5 or 15mm.
Its about 2/3 of inch room when measured with yard stick going down and using tape measure inside.
Let me know.
Thanks
