Of course if you ordered one of the Audi Hardwood Flooring Options (I was going to order Rosewood, but the Bubinga really looks better!) you don't have these problems. Obviously, with hardwood floors, you just have everyone remove their shoes before stepping into the vehicle.
Or you can just use boot covers, for the folks who refuse to cooperate.

I always find that rubber mats from the dealer that clip onto the anchor points on the floor are the best. They don't slip and that's especially important for the driver's side. They also look nicer (most have Audi or Q5 embossed on the rubber). They are also so much easier to clean, just jet wash with a mild liquid detergent (like you use for washing clothes) and they come up looking new. The worst thing for carpets are sticky sweets or chewing gum, they are near impossible to remove with leaving some mark on them.
