Ah okay. Weird how they have a TSB out and still make u drive around with the issue even after you had it. I know it isn’t a recall but they should still have changed the part out for you.

When it comes on again, and it will, take it back to the dealer and be prepared for a shock. They have a TSB on this issue and the solution is to replace the sensor which is responding too slow and replace the catalytic converter. Guess where these parts come from? If you guessed Germany you are correct. Audi has never heard of fast shipping so I guess they put these things on a boat because it takes 10 days to get to the US. They told me it wouldn't hurt to drive the car in this condition so I took it back and will wait for a third service call on this issue.
My complaint is they know about this issue (TSB2049050/2) and they should get the parts after the first occurrence regardless. Waiting for a second occurrence is ridiculous. What a waste of time.

Light went back on (as I knew it would) at 2100 miles. Back to the dealer and they said that Audi now wants to replace the catalytic converter. 5 days for the parts, but at least I have a loaner, so I am putting miles on their car and not mine

That's unfortunate. So far, the light hasn't returned in my wife's car, but it does concern me that it could return, and I'm unlucky enough that it wouldn't happen again until the warranty expires.
