i agree. and the owner's manual has similar language, in a more general/cryptic/'written by a lawyer' kind of way. the Breaking In section does say, "Do not drive at too low of an engine speed (RPM)."

Additional 2,000 KMs on top of the 5,111 KMs service done on 13/09/2018, nearly burn 1/2 of the oil.

Checking engine oil level post stopping the car (wait for two mins) becomes a fun part of driving the Q5 - which I do not expect to.

Already contact the dealer again and waiting for their response, any thoughts from the other owners?

2000 KMs in 2 months time since the last top-up by the dealer.

3000 miles since sept on an 18 Q5 oil full. I plan to have an oil, filter change at 5k, also tire rotation. Don't believe in the 10k interval.

happened on my old VW ride, but not for Q5 . its unusual, you should send in to check if its sensor or more major issues. i thought the piston design problem consuming EO (on my old ride) is history with new audis.

Just to be clear, that is NOT half the oil, it's half the way between full and add oil, maybe 1/2 quart/liter down.

The dealer top-up 400ml oil after 2,928 kms drive which claims to be normal - no oil consumption test required.

Default 2018 Audi Q5 Oil

So my 2018 Audi Q5 just had the low oil light warning come on Monday morning. I've got 16,300 miles on the car and my last oil change was roughly 6300 miles ago. It seems odd that I would need to add a whole quart of oil in 6300 miles.

It definitely concerns me.

I had my 2014 Q5 for three years and never once had to add oil.

interestingly, noticed my oil level dropped today at cold start. my last oil change was 7500km and now my mileage is at 10330ish km. but after a short drive, the oil level went back to max. is this normal? 1st time noticing this phenomenon though

at cold start

after about 20min drive
