You won't be disappointed. SQ5 + JB4 ~= OEM BMW 340 for performance (rolling start). Audi for the win out of the hole since it puts a lot more torque to the ground from a dead stop.

There seem to be a few piggy back options. JB4 vs DTE - are there differences between the two? What made you choose the JB4?

I had the DTUK prior (which is basically a white labelled DTE). I found the DTUK really harsh for engagement (almost binary off idle) and similar at gear shifts. JB4 just made it a more refined/OEM experience.

Did you find that the JB4 helped with the "lag"? DTUK seemed to have the pedal box as well which was supposed to help with that but I don't see an equivalent for the JB4.

No real change with the throttle response since that's a separate issue. Driving in "sport" mode fixes the lag issue though. You can get the petal box, but it's basically cheaper/easier to put the transmission into sport to get almost the same result.

Hi, any thoughts of my JB4 tuned SQ5 (getting the JB4 on Monday) vs a Cobb tuned Macan Turbo?

I have tuned numerous Mercedes and BMWs with flash and piggy-back systems.

I have never seen a piggy-back anywhere near as smooth as a flash. The best tune I have seen to date on a BMW, is Mision tune that provides both an engine and a transmission tune but they only do BMW.

I know there are good tunes out there as my buddy has a 700hp RS3(with new turbos and Meth). I have just never tuned an Audi.

Either one will void your warranty the same if it goes that way, I would always go Flash if I had the choice. I did have my X3 down to a 3.88 sec 0-60 on a custom Map JB4 but that was on race gas and a ton of boost and doing a ton of logs and re-maps.

If one be was just to stay in map 1-2, it would run good and be safe but it's too easy to start wanting more and more power. If you go JB4, do a lot of logs and watch your timing.

Just buy a Macan S and you already have more power than the SQ5 + JB4 without the hassle. It's just you are paying an insanely higher price point.

I would agree with ParadigmDawg about flash over piggback having run both as well. In our case, you really only have one option that I can tell which is the JB4. After doing the BM3 flash on my BMW, I'd be willing to flash the SQ5 as soon as it was available though.
