2021 Facelifted SQ5 with Black Optics at local dealership! Pics included!
hey gang, I was servicing my RS5 today at Biener Audi in Great Neck, NY and couldn't believe it when I saw this thing sitting right outside. They must've just received it today because it wasn't there this morning when I dropped my car off. Looks excellent in person (and I'm not personally a huge fan of white). Definitely this could be the X3M's replacement when the lease is up. Audi did a great job with this and the new screen looks nice and large! Here are a couple of quick crappy pics because it started to rain.

Not a fan of the grill. The rear looks good.

I like the exterior changes except the wheels but they still have that ugly ipad looking thing on the dash.
They should of added the multiple integrated screens like the Q7.

I don't mind the "ugly iPad" MMI, but I will say that seeing how the new Q3 has the MMI flush with the dash gave me a moment of pause. I started asking myself, "Hmm...should I get the Q3 instead of the Q5e?" In the end common sense prevailed (Q5e on order!), but it will be great when Audi has everything flush in all of their models, especially if it's going to be touch screen.
For what it's worth, I didn't mind the touch wheel, either...

Me neither. IMO, the black optics horizontal grill of prior MYs can’t be topped from a visual impact perspective. I think the black honeycomb took away any distinctiveness and refinement of the prior grill design. From a moderate distance, the new front end just blurs into a black solid mass. In other respects, it sort of conveys a copycat design mentality.
I’m not saying the new grill is unsightly to the point of being a visual nuisance...just very bland IMO.

Despite appearances, those are also fake tips. There's a walkaround video out there of one at the port and the exhaust still vents down behind those fake tips. They just look more like real tips now.
