Another phone mount location thread
Hi guys,
I'm wanting to mount my phone in this location using a magnetic mount:
I'd like to do it here because I can adhere the mount to the back of the MMI display, which would mean any "damage" caused by the adhesive wouldn't be seen.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which mount I could use to achieve this?
Cheers,
BS...

Have you considered a brodit mount?
I've used them in a number of cars and they leave no marks or damage when removed.
The mount point for the Q5 is not far away from where you want it: https://www.brodit.se/product.html?l...l=Q5&year=2018
You then need to add the specific holder for your phone.

I think I just figured it out using Ram mounts.
Basically use double sided tape on the back of the screen and position a short or medium arm into the exact position you desire.
I will test it out when my wife gets home and finally lets me drive the new Q.
Or a cheaper version you could use a goose-neck phone mount found on Amazon that has a sticker instead of a suction cup.
I just happen to have lots of Ram Mount pieces laying around.
