Brake job and spark plugs, what nobody tells you

Ya, that U-Jack is pretty sweet. If it helps...........I use a floor jack under the rear diff of my SQ5 to lift the rear end, or I'll place the jack on the pinch weld near the rear wheel and jack high enough to put a stand under the front pinch weld.

Great post! I'm planning to tackle the same thing this weekend so some helpful tips! One question that I had was regarding the pad clips on the front calipers. It looks like you just left the original ones in? I usually try to replace them with pads but are they a PITA to do?

Saw this in the other front brake thread going right now and thought I'd stick it in here for thought:
I dont have a SQ5 but I have an a6 with the same calipers and saw this on the front page and thought id chime in. You do not want to touch the "torx" bolts you are talking about. Those bolts are factory aligned and an odd bolt to stop users from messing with them. If you do loosen these bolts the caliper will be out of alignment and could cause braking issues. To do the brakes you need to pull the caliper and carrier together. There is a hardline on the caliper that turns into a soft line, remove the clip on the bracket and the line and hose should slip out giving you the room you need to replace the pads.

Mine had the hard stub brake lines as well, but I didn't need to do anything but remove the calipers. I never removed any brake lines to do all 4-corners on our 2018 SQ5.
And for the plug socket, BMW is the same. Need a thin wall one to get into the bore.
