It only adjusts the warning from my understanding. I keep mine on early and never have an issues. My car also has the DAP.

Transfer

I changed the warning to 0.8s then 0.6s, then turned it off simply because I was tired of seeing the red flashing warning on my dash and HUD regularly while in urban traffic. I don't recall if I have anything else set to early or late but probably late. I have had the brakes slammed when reversing near a utility pole that wasn't going to get hit, but not at any other times. If it slams brakes on me at speed in traffic, I'm going to have words with the dealership.

Had my 2018 SQ5 suddenly tighten the front seat belts while at a stop light. Had a car stopped in front of me and one behind me. Scared the hell out of my friend and I.


The 2017 Q7 has stopped me from making a left turn twice now. Sudden stop without any warning. There was a car a bit down the road but I would have been able to make the turn both times without any issues.

In situation 1 the car was preparing for impact thus potentially saving you if someone hit your car.

I've had that happen once, but there was a car coming in the lane I clean going into. While I could've made the turn, I probably shouldn't have so I'm glad it stopped me. I'd rather have the car stop me from being dumb than let me get seriously injured.
