we just got our q5 today. When I am in the MMI app after adding the VIN, it still does not let me select the car.

When i I am in settings in the car, it ask me for username and a vehicle number. Anyone know what the vehicle number is? Or what I need to do in order to use the features of the app?

There is a bit of a process unfortunately. You need to register at myaudi.com and then have your identity verified. I believe that there are two methods but I chose the dealer and emailed my sales rep with the formal request and the audi connect contract they make you fill out (instructions say to visit the dealer).

A few days later I received an email stating my account had been verified and I can now set it up on my vehicle by entering my username and the 10 digit code that came inside the white plastic thing that came with your keys (also includes key code if you need duplicate made). The 10 digit code is under a small scratch away area.
