MY21 - SQ5 Prestige - Pics of Exhaust Tips and Ring/Badging Upgrade
For those interested, I had the fake tips removed a week ago at a local exhaust shop (kept the valve device in place), and today I had the dealer replace the front/rear rings and the rear badge (I also had purchased the front blacked out badge however no body shop would do the work, due to the bumper/front end requirements - and the dealer wanted ~$900 in labor for the front single badge - due to all the realignment requirements of the cameras, etc - that are associated with the MY21 SQ5) - - so you will see the original badge in the pic. I have a wrap shop in town that is going to wrap the badge for me later this week. I included a pic of the fake tips removed. And, yes my vehicle is dirty (I am in Florida and it has not stopped raining for weeks).

the front rings come out relatively easily IF you are willing to break 2 prongs on silver set . The OEM blacks will "CLICK" right in after ................all Audi dealers know this , they just rarely offer it as an alternative , lots of vids available .

OK, major SQ8 jealousy, coming out of two B2B Cayenne GTSs but wanted a smaller car for DD this time. My 2013 had MSRP of $102K. The Q8 is sexy. With respect I don't need help about badge or emblem swap, not my first rodeo. I like the silver rings on the SQ5 big black grill. Not typical for me but I have seen easy swap for a lighted OOOO front badge. May do it.

They are not the $1200 chrome hot-pipes from Audi - - I opted for a much more affordable tip (did not do a muffler delete) - and had a local exhaust shop affix the black tips for me (again - much less expensive than Audi). I am very pleased with the outcome - and really like the way the vehicle looks and sounds now.
